Each of the children’s bedtime stories I’ve written has a personal meaning, and Marcie Lou is no exception. This story brought up quite a few emotions as I was writing. These voices, the voices of encouragement, inspiration and support for “art for art’s sake” are the voices I wish I’d heard as a young girl.
Marcie Lou Was An Artist is a whimsical story of a young woman who refuses to let anything stop her artistic vibe. Marcie Lou reminds us all, young and old, that art is as much about the process as it is about performance, and that everyone’s personal creativity makes the world a better place.
