Hiring our "Challenged" Champions

When is the last time you hired someone with physical or mental challenges?  Did you know that there is an army of able and eager workers available to you, along with incentives to help subsidize the hire?

I hire young people regularly from a local autism program that teaches young adults, who've aged out of high school, film and technology skills.  It's rewarding for me and I can get work at a really fair price for my low budget clients.

I'm currently working with a local organization as well - www.fvosolutions.com - to develop training programs to empower more of our "challenged" champions to work in social media/production.

SOME STATS:  The state of employment in California for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities:  

- Less than 13% of working-age adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities earn wages.

 - Approximately 5,000 people are employed as regular employees by businesses.
